The Flagler Museum continues to bring the genre’s best musicians to South Florida. Bluegrass group Dailey & Vincent make their second appearance on the Flagler Kenan Pavilion stage after winning an unprecedented seven trophies at the 2008 International Bluegrass Music Awards Show, including Entertainer, Vocal Group, Emerging Artist and Gospel Recorded Performance of the Year (for "By the Mark"). Their self-titled debut CD on Rounder Records went straight to the top of the Billboard Bluegrass charts, where it remained for 35 weeks. Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent are long-time veterans of the professional Bluegrass scene having some twenty years experience between the two of them from long tenures with Bluegrass and country legends Doyle Lawson and Ricky Skaggs. This powerful new duo is steeped in Bluegrass and country music traditions. Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent have devoted their lives to Bluegrass, to both the traditions and the possibilities that it offers, and now fans in South Florida will hear the most sensational Bluegrass band around. The group was nominated for three awards in the 2010 Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America (SPBGMA) awards.

The renowned Grasstowne will also play this year’s event with renditions of great American classics, and favorites. Grasstowne was nominated for 4 awards at the 2010 Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America (SPBGMA) Awards, including Bluegrass Band of the Year, Instrumental Group of the Year, Song of the Year and Bluegrass Album of the Year. Group member Steve Gulley was already honored with the 2008 Song of the Year award from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) for "Through The Window Of A Train." The band is comprised of well respected veterans in Bluegrass and acoustic music. Mandolin ace Alan Bibey, Steve Gulley playing guitar, Justin Jenkins on banjo and Kameron Keller on upright bass, comprise one of the hottest Bluegrass band on tour today. The Museum is honored to host these musicians in South Florida. Bluegrass fans are sure to enjoy this one-of-a-kind Bluegrass concert at the Flagler Museum.
All proceeds benefit the South Arts’ emergency planning for Gulf Coast cultural institutions.
