Yellow Roses Room
Matching wallpaper and fabric was a turn-of-the-century innovation. The "Marechal Niel" rose patterned wallpaper and fabric decorating the room was reproduced from a square of the original paper found behind the mirror in the washbasin alcove. The bedroom furniture is original to Whitehall.
J.C. Salter, Flagler's secretary, often used this room as his bedchamber due to its proximity to the staircase which descended near Flagler's original office wing.
